Ngā mihi nui for a big year of positive social impact

It’s been a year! We’re still in our infancy as a social enterprise, but in the time we’ve been operating, we’ve had more than 200 people participate in our food experiences, and more than 450 people were provided with the delicious food we made together.

And of the people we’ve reached, about one third are facing a range of hardships and wouldn’t have otherwise been able to access the skills development, food knowledge, and social connection that we aim to provide.

So, huge thank you all participants, volunteers, donors, local growers and edible plant-givers, and partners, who made it possible for us to have positive social impact across many communities!

And we’ll continue to grow into 2024 - with our amazing volunteers, incredible partners, community networks, and knowledgable advisors, we hope to see more cooking workshops and food experiences to empower and connect more people across Aotearoa New Zealand.

On a personal note, mega thank you to everyone that supports me as a founder of a new social enterprise. It’s not easy! And never will be... But I can’t imagine doing anything else, so thanks for your super smarts and support to help me stay sane  (and keep going!) – that’s you Laura Fayerman, Kerin Moriarty, Julie Young, Miramar Prison Garden, FreeStore, Mountains to Sea Wellington, Kai for All and many, many more xx
